NCF Legacy Fund ®
The NCF Legacy Fund is an enhanced type of Giving Fund
(donor-advised fund) in which we assume greater responsibility to ensure that your giving intent and granting desires are carried out faithfully, either during or after your lifetime. It can be used to train children or grandchildren in giving today, and it provides an innovative way to establish security, permanence, and accountability after you're gone. Charity Gift Annuity (CGA)
is a simple arrangement that involves a charitable gift and an annuity. You make the gift (part of which is tax deductible), and then you receive fixed annuity payments each year for the remainder of your life. If you wish, you can have the payments go to a family member or friend instead. Our commitment to pay your annuity is a legally binding contract, and we have never missed an annuity payment. A charitable trust helps you balance two interests – charitable giving and income for you or your heirs. With a charitable lead trust, money is paid first to a charity for a specified amount of time. At the end of the trust period, the balance of the trust goes to a designated beneficiary, typically the family of the trust creator. A charitable remainder trust reverses that order, paying a beneficiary first. Learn more in our one-page download.
Typically combined with a Giving Fund
, a supporting organization (SO) is a tax-exempt public charity that allows you (or your family or business) to manage grant-making to charitable organizations. You receive administrative, grants management support, and investment management support from NCF. Unlike a Giving Fund, an SO can have full-time employees, cover operating expenses, and provide benefits. Learn more in our one-page download.
